We’ve launched the new MinnPost!
Read about the redesign and let us know what you think. We’re pretty excited (especially about the responsive design). Check it out!
The MinnPost bistro mugs have arrived! Jealous? (In other news, I’m apparently becoming Wilford Brimley.)
“[Obama]’s been willing to engage during his presidency in a massive redistribution of wealth and in the politics of an Occupy Wall Street envy to achieve his purposes. Contrast that with the Tenth Amendment — I’m sorry — the Tenth Commandment, which teaches that we should not covet what belongs to our neighbor. That’s a principle for good government that’s worked historically in the United States.” — Rep. Michele Bachmann

A few MinnPost staffers got their picture taken with Don Shelby during our birthday party last night.
These are memories that will last a lifetime.
Sally arm wrestling, Roger gabbing, while Don and I are getting an update on when the MinnPost birthday cake will be arriving at the party using our imaginary ear pieces.

This is one of the foto funnies I did for MinnPost’s current membership drive. I really wanted to ‘shop Shelby into ‘Braveheart,’ but this was still pretty fun. I tried adding Wilder’s ‘stache, but Shelby got lost behind it.
GPOYW on Thursday: Me with a Macintosh SE from 1986. One megabyte RAM, 800k drive. The MacBook Pro behind me, from 2011, is what I use at MinnPost. The G5 behind that is what I’ve got at home. (Just spotted my iPod and iPhone in the pic as well.) Thanks for everything, Steve. Photo by Kaeti Hinck.
Photo illo I did for MinnPost depicting Rep. Michele Bachmann as Jonathan with his armor bearer from the First Book of Samuel. The Eric Black piece is entitled ”Who does Michele Bachmann think she is?” It’s hard taking a photo and bringing it into a painting - matching the illustrative style. This one’s just okay.
Found this illustration I did for MinnPost in 2009 about the two Twin Cities mayors contemplating gubernatorial candidacies. I guess it could also illustrate how LGBT-friendly Minneapolis/St. Paul is.
